2. Broken Latin: The text is modified and scrambled Latin. It does not make complete sense, cutting off the real phrase dolorem ipsum which means "pain itself".

3. Looks Like English: The letters and spaces are arranged to mimic the natural word length and letter frequency of English. This helps pages look realistic before final copy arrives.
